  • These are my impressions after borrowing one to hit with. I was told it's a 5U strung at 24 lbs with a thin-gauge string.
    Being head-light and 5U, you can clearly feel the balance point near the handle, and above all the maneuverability is great. Shots you handle at the net, like pushes, feel really good. The maneuverability also pays off on defense.
    The feel is "basically focused on repulsion, just a tiny bit on the stiff side," but it doesn't have that hard, poppy rebound of the NANORAY series. I'd describe it as holding the shuttle lightly and then launching it with the shaft's snap-back. The shaft's power transfers to the shuttle properly, so when you catch it on the sweet spot, the shuttle shoots out nicely without you having to swing with brute force. Overhead shots like clears and smashes in particular really zip through. As you'd expect from a racket packed with the latest technology, it helps you out in all sorts of situations where you have to swing lightly. So if the strong head-light balance doesn't bother you, I think it's worth picking one up at least once, unless you're someone who values a solid feel and prefers hitting with a powerful, stiff-shafted racket using the weight of the head. I think it's pretty versatile.

  • Compared with the 700, it's a far more demanding racket.
    Even with a light swing, you can't feel any 'flex'. The face is about one size smaller than the 700, so I think the string bed feels slightly tighter. The balance seems closer to even, so it has quite a solid feel when you swing it. As for whether the maneuverability is good or bad, I'd say there are rackets better suited to beginner and intermediate players. Maybe because of the small, thin frame, the head cuts through the air exceptionally well. Still, if you're used to lightweight rackets, it will be a fair burden.
    The feel is hard, like the power of the shaft gives the shuttle a solid smack; it doesn't have the soft feel of the 700. In exchange, control is good and you can place the shuttle where you want, but when you're under pressure, the racket doesn't help you out. I feel that unless you hit the center of the compact face squarely, you can't use the racket's true power. I think it's a racket for intermediate-to-advanced players who prefer a head-light to even balance and have a fast swing speed to fully swing every shot. It's probably a bit too high a bar for me.

  • When you pick it up after stringing, it's surprisingly light. In actual use it's "quite" head-heavy, so if you hold it long, it has a moderate swing weight. If you hold it short, the lightness comes into play, allowing quick touches on both offense and defense. Even when I'm under pressure in push-and-receive exchanges, I can somehow keep the rally alive, and in drive battles I get more shots in.
    The catalog lists the shaft as "stiff," but it's not that stiff, and the shaft's power gives shots that carry well. It's also easy to control.
    Given its somewhat peaky characteristics, extremely light yet head-heavy, it's not for beginners, but if you string it tight, even power players can hit strong smashes using the head, and if you string it a bit looser, beginner to intermediate players can take advantage of its maneuverability. For male doubles players who are past the beginner stage and can play proper matches, it's a racket well worth trying.

  • Soft, head-light rackets often have a flimsy feel, but this one does not. Of course it is not hard, but it combines the soft feel typical of the INFERNO series with the solidity of a frame that does not twist. The difference you notice most compared to the INFERNO LITE is its length: hold it long and the shuttle flies well even with a light swing, hold it short and its maneuverability around the net shines. On receives, as long as you time it to your opponent's smash, you can easily return it high and deep. I think you could call it the new standard for lightweight, soft, head-light rackets. It is not one I would recommend to power-oriented players who want to use the head weight, but I would like male control-oriented doubles players and women in general to give it a try.

  • This is a review based on a racket I borrowed at an adult club. It is a 5U head-heavy racket with average stiffness. Because it is light, maneuverability is not bad, and as a head-heavy racket, clears fly well when you use the head weight. It does not have the flimsy feel with little feedback that beginner rackets often have, so I can widely recommend it to beginners through intermediate players, men and women alike. I think the string gives you quite a wide range of adjustment. It might be easiest to understand if you think of it as having a sharper feel than the discontinued i-FORCE.
    I sometimes see beginners choosing quite difficult rackets. Beginners in particular are better off improving with help from their racket, so I hope they will put rackets of this class near the top of their list. For women, it is a racket that will serve well up to intermediate level.
