Flexes firmly to deliver sharp, high-speed smashes. A lightweight ASTROX. The world standard: ISOMETRIC, born at YONEX. YONEX's original square frame shape, ISOMETRIC, equalizes the lengths of the main and cross strings, creating a sweet spot that is wider vertically and horizontally than a conventional round frame. Born at YONEX, this technology won numerous titles with top players in tennis, and in 1992 it became the world's first to be used in a badminton racket with the ISOMETRIC 500. Since then, it has been loved by countless players as the world standard. Rotational Generator System: Distributing weight across the entire racket enables smooth racket work, combining power and maneuverability for consecutive smashes. Namd: A new carbon material that resists stiffening even at higher swing speeds creates powerful flex into impact followed by rapid recovery, delivering explosive smash power. ※ Namd is a technology developed by Nitta Corporation that uniformly combines nano-dispersed carbon nanotubes with carbon fiber. - Aero + Box frame shape

    User Review SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised for its lightweight design and excellent maneuverability as a racket for middle and high school students. However, some advanced players and those prioritizing feel find it somewhat lacking.
    ■ Frequently mentioned points
    • Lightweight with exceptional maneuverability and ease of swing
    • Excellent for aggressive shots like smashes and pushes
    • Suitable for beginners through intermediate players
    • Combines head weight with a flexible shaft
    ■ Representative voices
▲ PositiveThe lightweight handling is excellent, and the smash power and speed are notably advantageous. Among the Astrox series, this is the most user-friendly and lightest racket.
▽ CriticalLimited feedback on impact makes delicate shots like drops difficult to control. The shaft may be too flexible for the manufacturer's intended middle and high school demographic.

Kerolin (Experience:6-10 years) A racket I can recommend to anyone

This is a review based on a racket I borrowed at an adult club. It is a 5U head-heavy racket with average stiffness. Because it is light, maneuverability is not bad, and as a head-heavy racket, clears fly well when you use the head weight. It does not have the flimsy feel with little feedback that beginner rackets often have, so I can widely recommend it to beginners through intermediate players, men and women alike. I think the string gives you quite a wide range of adjustment. It might be easiest to understand if you think of it as having a sharper feel than the discontinued i-FORCE.
I sometimes see beginners choosing quite difficult rackets. Beginners in particular are better off improving with help from their racket, so I hope they will put rackets of this class near the top of their list. For women, it is a racket that will serve well up to intermediate level.

It's so easy to use that I think even women, if they're junior high or high school age or older and reasonably strong, could start with this as their very first racket.
When I had a girl in the lower grades of elementary school who isn't very strong try it, she said it felt heavy and she was late on her swings, so it was hard to use, but I actually prefer it over the soft, head-light rackets that kids like to use, because it feels like it adds just the right amount of power.
Smashes sink well, and with attack lobs and driven clears you can return light, fast shots with a compact swing, so the good part is that it's more fun to use than rackets labeled as great for beginners.
Naturally, head-light rackets win when it comes to smash receives, but this one is plenty easy to handle too.

First is its easy-to-use lightness. Not only is the racket itself light, but it also swings lightly on strokes, and its maneuverability is excellent. As I mentioned in the performance section, being a racket aimed at junior high and high school students, my first impression was: easy to handle! In terms of ease of use, I think it's the easiest and lightest-feeling racket in the ASTROX series.
Ease of smashing: in ease of smashing and speed too, I felt considerable advantages.

Keikei (Experience:2-3 years) Easier to use than my previous racket

The racket I was using before was carbon and light, but since switching to this one, my smashes and pushes have gotten faster!

Mr. Frog For players with really little power

I used it for about a year.
The string is AEROBITE at 24 lbs.

Personally, my strong impression is that it's a racket with little feedback,
and with delicate shots like drops, it felt like I was just coaxing them over.

The racket itself is light and soft, so I think it suits people without much strength,
but I don't think it's a good fit for the junior high and high school students the manufacturer is targeting.
Especially for beginners, I think it's a mismatch in terms of developing a feel for the racket.

      Road bike (Experience:6-10 years)

I'm a junior high student, and it was a very easy racket to handle. The swing isn't as easy as the NANORAY i-SPEED, but attacking shots are easy to hit. For me, smashes and pushes were easy. It's top-heavy, but even on clears it felt like it held the shuttle firmly before sending it. I plan to keep using it

    • Datsu

      Datsu (Experience:4-5 years) An easy-to-handle head-heavy racket

A racket that combines good maneuverability with head weight. The shaft is on the flexible side, so I recommend it to beginners who want to smash away or who want to use the head weight when hitting. For advanced players, on the other hand, the shaft is too flexible and disperses their power, so I think it would be hard to hit with. Also recommended for juniors and women.
