  • Whether it's a high backhand or a clear, even a light hit sends the shuttle all the way to the back, so it was pretty easy to hit. It also flexes well while still having proper repulsion, so attacking shots like smashes and fast shots are quite easy to hit

  • When you swing lightly the shaft is stiff, but when you swing hard and fast for smashes, clears and so on, you can definitely feel it flex.

  • Even when I compared practice swings with the ASTROX 99 and 88D, it felt lighter in hand, and the racket balance seems about the same as the ASTROX 88S.

  • Thanks to the frame flex, a hallmark of the ASTROX 88S, you can clearly feel the racket holding the shuttle when you catch it. Because of that, I felt it was easy to create angles when hitting hard or playing attacking shots.

  • Performance-wise, both the shaft and the feel are on the soft side, and to be precise, the feel differs slightly between the forehand and backhand sides.
