Even when I compared practice swings with the ASTROX 99 and 88D, it felt lighter in hand, and the racket balance seems about the same as the ASTROX 88S.

I'd just started, and I knew I wouldn't be able to hit properly or get the shuttle to fly with a stiff advanced model, but I also didn't want to buy a flexible one and have to replace it soon, so I stretched a bit to find a model that's middle-of-the-road in every respect and chose this one
Tried the 4U at a tension of 23.. Aluminum rackets costing a few thousand yen quickly hurt my wrist, but this one doesn't, and it's light and comfortable to useOverall Swing Maneuverability Control Touch

Nariyuki Badminton Papa (Experience:Less than a year) My sixth racket purchase

I'm a beginner in my 40s who started badminton while accompanying my child to badminton classes.
While choosing rackets to match my child's progress, starting with NANORAY and then VOLTRIC, ASTROX and so on, changing the balance as I went, I stuck with flexible rackets since they were mainly for my child. But when I started playing too, using a so-called beginner racket as an adult, the flex was too soft and there was no weight on the shuttle, so I wanted my own and bought the overseas version of the YONEX ASTROX 7, which I could get cheaply. On the racket matrix, this model was close to the Japanese ASTROX 55 with a slightly stiffer shaft, so I chose it, and since it's 4U, it doesn't tire me out even though it's head-heavy, and it's easy to handle. VOLTRIC shafts flex a lot, but ASTROX flexes while still feeling firm, so I don't swing late, and it doesn't feel like overkill for a beginner either. The swing speed is good and it's easy to hit with, so there's little strain on my elbow and wrist joints.
I think you're less likely to go wrong if you buy a racket based on your overall strength, like arm strength, rather than your badminton level.Overall Swing Maneuverability Control Touch
