  • I think it's a classic.
    I use the 4U, and the weight, shaft stiffness, swing, feel, and the balance between repulsion and hold are all just really well balanced overall. I can't find any flaws.

  • I've strung it with BG66 ULTIMAX at 26 lbs.
    The feel really is good.
    It's head-heavy, but maneuverability is quite good.
    The head whips through faster than I expected, so until you get used to it, smashes tend to hit the net.
    Little shock comes back to your hand and the feel is mild, so I think controlling the shuttle also takes a bit of getting used to.

  • I was curious, so I bought one.
    I've strung it with BG66 ULTIMAX at 26 lbs.
    It's listed as head-light, but it's even or slightly head-heavy.
    The shaft is about as stiff as the VZF2, and maybe because the head doesn't add much momentum, it takes a fair amount of power to make it flex.
    It's very solidly built, so control is very precise across all shots.
    The feel is quite firm. Mishits are obvious, and it's pretty hard on the wrist.
    Maneuverability is about the same as a 3U ASTROX 99, but it's hard to hit deep unless you swing properly, so it's hard to recover when you're under pressure. It's an old-school feel, where the racket doesn't do the work for you.
    For a NANORAY series racket, the repulsion is modest.
    In exchange, when I hit with my body properly set, I feel the smash is equal to or better than the VZF2.
    The end speed doesn't drop at all! The harder you hit, the more power goes into the shuttle. For example, if you smash with the VZF2 and the 95DX at the same head speed, my impression is that the 95DX puts more power into the shuttle.
    However, it's hard to get a steep angle, so until you get used to it, your shots tend to go out the back.
