    User Review SummaryAI Summary
The YONEX Standard is highly regarded as a practice shuttlecock with excellent cost-performance value, supported by beginners through intermediate players. While its balance of durability and flight performance is praised, inconsistencies in durability and unsuitability for advanced competitive matches are noted.
    ■ Frequently mentioned points
    • Excellent cost-performance ratio and affordable pricing
    • Stable flight performance with minimal individual variation
    • Ideal for practice use from beginners to intermediate players
    • Durability varies depending on practice intensity
    • Excellent feel with natural cork and goose feathers
    ■ Representative voices
▲ PositiveDespite the very affordable price, the shuttlecock flies like a bullet with light technique, offering an excellent hitting feel. The crisp sound at impact and the difficulty of making mistakes are also great features.
▽ CriticalIt is clearly unsuitable for practice use by players who are particular about flight characteristics. Unlike official shuttles, it tends to fly further than expected, sometimes making you question if the number is correct.

Kerolin (Experience:6-10 years) One option, but…

It's YONEX's long-standing natural cork + waterfowl feather shuttle, a "standard" shuttle, so to speak.
The base is natural cork too, so the feel is decent, but the problem is that the flight is different from so-called "approved shuttles." It tends to carry quite far, and sometimes flies so far it makes you wonder if the speed number is wrong. It goes out at the back easily, or rather, clears tend to arc high, and it rarely gives you the kind of flight that drops straight down at the back boundary line. Also, durability is only "so-so," so they break quite a bit. That said, as mentioned, it's natural cork + waterfowl feathers, so I think it's ideal for practice for beginner to intermediate players and as a game shuttle for beginners. For intermediate to advanced players who are particular about flight, I think it's clearly unsuitable as a practice shuttle or a game practice shuttle.

      TOMO (Experience:6-10 years)

I think it might be the best among YONEX's practice shuttles. It's not as expensive as approved shuttles, but the quality is higher than other practice shuttles. It has no quirks, so it really feels standard.

MAMO (Experience:11-20 years) Good value for money

Just as the name says, it's standard.
Models above this one get more expensive.
I think it's perfect for beginner and intermediate players practicing with waterfowl-feather shuttles.

I don't think the durability is that high,
but beginners often damage the feathers in practice anyway,
      so it's hard to say.
I think it's good value for money.

Toshiaki Hit it cleanly and the shots will surprise you.

Even without putting much power into it, when you hit it well with proper form, the shots are excellent in both speed and weight. Another feature is that it's hard to mishit.
I'm a little worried about durability, but otherwise I have no complaints. It suits all kinds of playing styles.

      Little A real shuttle

I first used it in my junior high school club, and even now as an adult I use it when playing badminton with my kids. Unlike cheap plastic shuttles, cork shuttles have a shorter flight distance and fly stably, so I think they are easy to use even for kids who cannot hit well yet.

Nutairu STANDARD is the safe choice after all

Compared with other brands' products, I feel STANDARD offers good value for money.
I compared them for uses such as practice matches and practice, and it flies the way I want and the durability is good too.
I also tried NEW OFFICIAL, but because STANDARD is easier to choose price-wise, I use it regularly.

      Badminton player Suitable for practice

I basically used YONEX STANDARD shuttles for practice. Durability is reasonably good, and even when they got damaged I could keep using them for a long time as feeding-drill shuttles. I think they were also used as match shuttles at university matches.
As the name says, I think it is the most commonly used shuttle for standard use. I would recommend it for players from intermediate level up.
