  • You can clearly feel the weight and the shaft is stiff, so it's a racket for powerful hard hitters. However, it's probably not suited to beginners. Without a certain level of skill, control is difficult and you'd likely struggle to handle it. After using it, other rackets feel light, so it's ideal for practice.

  • My impression when holding the MIZUNO "CALIBER REG" I've been using was that it's "very light", but when you hit, it feels very springy and the shuttle flies off as if it's popping cleanly through.
    The balance between lightness and stiffness is superb, and I think it falls into the easy-to-control category. Variations in power come through reasonably well, too, and for me it's the number one racket.

  • It uses single-side feathers so it is cheap, but it is durable. It flies well, but there seems to be a little variation between individual shuttles. I also find clears and lobs a bit hard to control. It is probably suitable for beginners to practice with. I think advanced players would find it hard to use. The rotation speed bothers me a bit too.

  • I have been using these for practice for years, and the big advantage is the high durability, so they wear out slowly. They spin consistently, which also helps improve the quality of my play.

  • The weight in the head lets you hit heavy shots. The shaft has average stiffness and the racket is relatively light, so wristy shots are easy to hit. It's easy to use for both attack and defense, so it's probably for all-round players. It doesn't wobble much when you hit, so my impression is that it's that much easier to control.
