      Bought it because the design looked so cool!
      Of all the rackets I've seen, the design is top-tier!!

      As for how it plays...
      I like head-heavy balance, so that was just right, but the Z-FORCE 2 swings better and has a more powerful smash...
      and the 70e has more flex and is easier to use as an all-rounder...
      so it's hard to say....

      The Z-FORCE 2 has more power, and the 70e is easier to use for drives and maneuverability, so my impression is that the 80e's strong point is its design lol
      It might be good for people who don't like the Z-FORCE's compact frame, or who want just a little more weight than the 70e.

      The design is one of the coolest among YONEX rackets. But when I used it, the shaft was stiff and it was very head-heavy, so I felt you'd have to be quite advanced to master it. Being able to hit heavy smashes feels great.

      This racket has now been discontinued. My impression of it was that smashes are crazy fast. I attached all the parts and strung it with AEROBITE BOOST at 25. The smashes the day after stringing were shocking. They were probably the fastest smashes I have ever hit. A metallic "ping" rang out, and the receiving side was dumbfounded. It is a very head-heavy racket, and for those who want weight behind their smashes, I recommend its successor, the ASTROX 88D. Personally, I have my own theory that the 80 E-TUNE goes well with AEROBITE BOOST.

      Used the 4U with all parts attached. As expected, the head is heavier than other VOLTRIC series rackets. Overhead shots are easy to hit, while receives and drives are a bit tough. The feel is on the hard side, and you can feel yourself squashing the shuttle as you smash. The shaft is stiff, but it's thin, so it's easy to flex using the weight. This shaft and head weight make power smashes easy. It's a real help that your smashes get faster without needing much of a full swing. If you can get used to the finer plays, I think it's a really good racket.

      I used the 4U. The shaft is stiff and it's quite head-heavy. Since it's 4U, it's relatively easy to maneuver.

      You can tune it with parts, so you can set the head weight to your liking. The swing speed is average.

      Drives and pushes are easy too. Smashes felt like they dipped a bit. There isn't much hold feel; the feel is a crisp 'thwack,' which feels great when you hit hard.
      With the 4U, you don't get too tired even after long use, so you can use it in the front court or rear court in doubles, and in singles too.

      The design is cool, and overall I found it easy to use. Within the VOLTRIC series, I think the feel is close to the LD-FORCE. Whether or not you attach the parts changes the racket's balance quite a bit.

      These are my impressions after using it for 3 years.
      It's a discontinued racket now, but it feels very similar to the "ASTROX 88D." I'd say it's lighter than the Z-FORCE. I'm a pretty hard hitter, if anything, and once you get used to it, this racket generates tremendous power. Even the 4U felt a bit on the heavy side.
      This racket can be tuned with dedicated parts, so if you want it heavier you can make it heavier, and if you want it lighter, you can take the parts off.
      Personally, I highly recommend this racket. Since it's discontinued, you may find it sold cheaply these days, so I strongly recommend it to hard hitters.
