    User Review SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated for its diamond-shaped frame design providing excellent ball feel and rebound performance, this racket is recognized as a cost-effective masterpiece. Its track record with the Korean national badminton team enhances its credibility, earning support from beginner to advanced players alike.
    ■ Frequently mentioned points
    • Diamond frame reduces air resistance for superior swing throughput
    • Exceptional shuttle acceleration and responsive racket acceleration
    • Even balance reduces fatigue for extended play sessions
    • Premium feel comparable to Japanese manufacturers despite Victor brand
    • Excellent value for money serving players of all skill levels
    ■ Representative voices
▲ PositiveA masterpiece that Korean national team players continue using even with new rackets available. Superior rebound and explosive shuttle speed make it excellent in doubles. Well-balanced design with minimal weight feel despite 3U specifications.
▽ CriticalSmash performance is inferior to box-frame head-heavy rackets with a narrow sweet spot. Grommets deteriorate quickly and replacement grommets are difficult to obtain.

Passerby (Experience:11-20 years) A very well-made racket at a low price

Getting several YONEX rackets is expensive, so I chose one from VICTOR that's relatively affordable and performs well enough.
The BRAVE SWORD 12 is the racket that many Korean national team players used before signing with YONEX.
The frame is diamond-shaped, which you can really tell when shadow swinging; the sound and swing speed are clearly different from other rackets. Receives and drives can be sent off nicely with a small swing. Also, the sweet spot is large, and when you hit hard it feels like it firmly grips the cork, so it's easy to hit heavy smashes.
On the spec chart it sits around even balance, and I appreciate that I don't get tired even after long use and can swing it to the very end. I had been using the ASTROX 88D, but in games with long rallies or tournaments held over several days, my racket hand would drop or I'd swing late as things went on. With the BRAVE SWORD 12, that problem is gone, and I can use it without stress even when singles, doubles, individual and team events pile up.
The only drawback is that there are no replacement grommets, but YONEX ones worked fine, so overall I think it's an excellent racket.

Mitchy (Experience:6-10 years) As long as you don't hit overhead..

My impressions of the old BRAVE SWORD 12, not the SE.

Underarm shots, especially drives and lobs, are not much different from modern rackets.
Cuts and drops feel totally natural too.

But on smashes and clears, both the sound and the face were all over the place, which surprised me....
I also use the BRAVE SWORD 12 SE, and by comparison the sweet spot is surprisingly small.
It was an experience that made me feel how far rackets have evolved..

VS (Experience:4-5 years) Excellent power hitting and maneuverability

The diamond-shaped frame, built to slice through the air, is the biggest feature of this series. You get heavy power smashes, and quick receives and drives make your defense stable too. It's often sold at a low price, and since most Japanese players use YONEX, I also recommend it for people who don't like having the same racket as everyone else.

      jaya (Experience:6-10 years) It's a masterpiece

Before the last Olympics, many Korean national team players kept using this racket even when new ones came out, so I got curious and bought it.

To cut to the chase, it's a masterpiece. Above all, the repulsion is great and the initial speed is really fast. When it clicks in doubles, it feels amazing.
It's 3U, but I don't really feel the weight when handling it. The balance is good. No wonder everyone uses it.

VICTOR's recent rackets have a plastic-like feel that's crisp and too hard, but this racket feels closer to the Japanese makers.
Its most distinctive feature is that the corners of the face (diamond-shaped) are pointed. Even more pointed than the back side of the DUORA.
People say the back side of the DUORA is springy, but because I'd used this racket first, it didn't seem that special to me. That's how springy this one is. On top of that, you can put enough weight on the shuttle to push it, so the shuttle really travels.

By the way, this racket makes a higher-pitched sound than its string tension would suggest.
Also, the grommets wear out quickly.

Mitchy (Experience:4-5 years) Unbeatable when you consider value for money

I use the 4U of the gray model from before the reissue.

It has even-balance specs and the shaft flexes nicely, so it excels at receives and drives.
However, for smashes it's quite a bit worse than head-heavy box-frame rackets. It does generate speed, though.

With YONEX rackets getting more and more expensive, I think it offers the best value for money among rackets that suit everyone from beginners to advanced players.
If there were a price category, the rating would be even higher.
