      I think the NANORAY Z-SPEED is a racket used to boost the power of your smash. Using this racket, I felt that my smash speed definitely went up. On the other hand, when it comes to racket control, I felt it was a little weaker, partly because of the racket's weight.

      As expected of the NANORAY series, its maneuverability is outstanding, and maybe because it has a compact frame, it reacts quickly on drives. People not used to compact frames may find it a bit hard to use at first, but you'll probably get used to it quickly. Smashes are fast, but I feel the VOLTRIC I use lets me hit heavier smashes, while the Z-SPEED seems to let you hit faster smashes.

      If you have a certain amount of competitive experience, this racket helps you step up even further. It's high-level overall, though the swing is a slight concern, but I think it lets you play differently from how you did before. It's a racket for advanced players.

      About the NANORAY Z-SPEED. The NANORAY Z-SPEED set the world record of 493 km/h. Any player chasing smash speed will want one. The weight is 3U, which is average, but now that rackets keep getting lighter, it feels a little heavy. The overall weight is neither heavy nor light, just normal. The balance point feels like it's in the middle of the racket. Thanks to the high-modulus carbon frame and high-modulus carbon shaft, the repulsion on the shuttle is excellent and drives are easy to hit. The feel is also very firm. Both the shaft and the frame flex, so if your swing speed is fast, you can hit very fast shots. If you're a player who wants to get faster than you are now, I definitely recommend trying it at least once.

      The racket I'm reviewing this time is the "NANORAY Z-SPEED". Thanks to the lightness of the NANORAY series and a slimmer racket face, the Z-SPEED has a bigger sweet area and incredibly powerful smashes, and because the racket is light, your swing speed gets faster, so it swings well and makes attacks like drives easier. Delicate shots like hairpins also land sharply. I find it has a bit of a quirk in terms of maneuverability, but it's a racket I recommend for people who play singles.

      True to its name, the YONEX NANORAY Z-SPEED sends the shuttle off fast the moment you smash, so smashing feels great. Even as a woman I get speed on my smashes, so I mainly use it for mixed doubles.
