  • Compared with the NANOFLARE 200, whose balance was between even and head-light,
    the NANOFLARE 300 seems to be quite head-light, nearly as much as the 400,
    so it feels much lighter than the 200 when swinging.
    Also, the NANOFLARE 300 has a slightly firmer feel than the NANOFLARE 200, and smashes seemed to land sharply.
    Compared with the NANOFLARE 200 strung with BG66 ULTIMAX at tension 21, this one strung at tension 20 seems to give a wider range of pace on shots.
    It's easy to maneuver in a pinch and you don't get swung around by the racket, so for a beginner elementary school girl without much strength, she's happy that it's easy to use.

  • It's so easy to use that I think even women, if they're junior high or high school age or older and reasonably strong, could start with this as their very first racket.
    When I had a girl in the lower grades of elementary school who isn't very strong try it, she said it felt heavy and she was late on her swings, so it was hard to use, but I actually prefer it over the soft, head-light rackets that kids like to use, because it feels like it adds just the right amount of power.
    Smashes sink well, and with attack lobs and driven clears you can return light, fast shots with a compact swing, so the good part is that it's more fun to use than rackets labeled as great for beginners.
    Naturally, head-light rackets win when it comes to smash receives, but this one is plenty easy to handle too.

  • It's cheaper than the pre-strung aluminum-frame rackets sold at sporting goods stores, yet it performs well.
    I think for kids from kindergarten to the lower grades of elementary school starting badminton, this is enough to begin with.
    The shaft is very flexible, so the shuttle flies well even without much power.
    However, since the balance is almost even,
    for girls with less strength, the NANOFLARE 200 or 300 may be lighter to swing and easier to use. You really notice the difference when repeating the pronation motion in drive practice and so on.

    The NANOFLARE JUNIOR has a thin grip, so it's good to adjust it with grip tape or cushion tape to suit the size of your child's hand.

  • It technically leans head-heavy, but it feels lighter and easier to swing than the ASTROX 55.
    The racket itself is light, so it's quite easy to handle, and it's flexible, so clears go deep easily.

    For kids starting in the upper grades of elementary school to junior high, this could be a good first racket.
