  • I tried various rackets looking for one that suits me, and now I've settled on this as my main.

    Its features are that it's slightly head-heavy, and the shaft is short but on the soft side, so the flex really works
    I don't know how much the wind-tunnel design helps, but it's outstandingly easy to swing.

    My image is that shortening the shaft improves maneuverability, the head-heavy balance makes up for the power you'd lose,
    and the soft shaft makes up for the difficulty in getting distance.

    It flexes quite a bit, so clears go deep without a problem, and since it's a 3U head-heavy I feel there's enough power,
    but hard hitters who are used to blasting away with head-heavy rackets might find it lacking.

    It's a bit hard to get hold of, but I'd really recommend that anyone who likes YONEX's ASTROX 88S try it once.

  • I bought the 4U, strung it with AEROBITE at 27 lbs, and used it for about a year.
    By the way, I'm the type who has used NANOSPEED and NANORAY for most of my badminton career.

    As for how it feels, it's so heavy you wouldn't think it's a 4U.
    When swinging, it felt heavier than a 3U even balance racket.
    Also, the shaft is extremely stiff. It's said to have a solid-core construction, but when I hit hard I feel quite a lot of strain on my arm.

    On drives and receives, I felt the difficulty of handling that comes with being head-heavy, and in doubles there were many times I swung late and hit it out wide.

    On the other hand, if you ask whether the smash is good, I felt that's not necessarily the case.
    In matches, there aren't many situations where you smash from as comfortable a position as in warm-up drills, so my impression is that the difficulty of swinging ended up showing.
    Of course, if you smash at full power from a perfect position, the feel is quite good, so it may suit hard hitters who already love rackets like the ARCSABER.

    I wasn't that type, so my arm couldn't take the strain and I gave up using it.

  • It's rumored to be a masterpiece, so I bought the 4UG5.

    The maneuverability is undoubtedly excellent, and I can see why many people find it easy to use.
    However, it seems to sacrifice a fair amount of head weight for maneuverability, and when I hit at full power I get the impression that it slips through a little.
    When I was getting tired, though, it felt just right.
    (I wanted to try the 3U too, but I couldn't afford it, so I gave up.)

    I thought the concept smash puts its emphasis not on power but on "steadily driving it down."

    It's definitely on the easy-to-use side, but I don't plan on making it my main racket.

  • Like LI-NING's AERONAUT 9000C, it was said to have a short shaft and high maneuverability, so I got interested and bought it.
    I don't have as much power as I did as a student, so I thought I'd play control-focused rallies with a racket like this with a light head and good maneuverability.

    In conclusion, I don't think I'll use it again.

    As for the maneuverability I was hoping for, it was more than enough.
    On top of the short shaft, it's packed with maneuverability features like 4U and head-light, so I think that's fully reflected.
    However, these have downsides too: on overhead strokes, it fatally fails to put power into the shot.

    Also, the feel isn't the rebound type but leans toward a catch-and-hit feeling, yet even after catching the shuttle, there's a sense that quite a lot of power escapes.

    I'm sure it suits some people, but for people with a certain level of strength (intermediate to advanced men or women), I think there's too much power loss.
