User review

  • A racket with great value for money that goes against the soaring racket prices of recent years.

Thanks to the moderately stiff shaft and the fairly large face, its receiving and control are as good as you'd expect.
It's not that extreme, but it's head-heavy, so you can hit solid shots.

Also, having connected grommets is a nice point.

The reason my rating is low is that I can't help feeling that if you pay more, there are higher-performance rackets.
Its value for money and design are by far the best, so I'm considering buying another one.

  • It's an evolved version of the BRAVE SWORD 12.
I feel it's gone up in every respect: looks, performance and cost (that one's a minus).

In particular, for swing speed I think it's top class regardless of brand, excluding compact frames.
    Receives are fantastic.

The shaft seems to snap back faster after flexing than the BRAVE SWORD 12, so shots from above lack force but you can still hit them solidly. It's good.
I own the 4U, and just holding it, it feels as light as YONEX's F-spec.

  • I use the 4U of the gray model from before the reissue.

It has even-balance specs and the shaft flexes nicely, so it excels at receives and drives.
However, for smashes it's quite a bit worse than head-heavy box-frame rackets. It does generate speed, though.

With YONEX rackets getting more and more expensive, I think it offers the best value for money among rackets that suit everyone from beginners to advanced players.
If there were a price category, the rating would be even higher.
