  • I thought this racket is really well suited to doubles.
    My NANORAY 800 broke, so I picked up this NANORAY 900 right after it went on sale.
    The first thing I noticed was that it's very easy to swing. My image is that the NANORAY 800 is for the front court and the NANORAY 900 is for the rear court.
    It's 3U, even balance and slightly head-light, so hard hitters might find it lacking at first, but because it's so easy to swing, your swing speed goes up and I think you can hit fast smashes. It's head-light, so drives are no problem either.
    The downside is that the frame prioritizes swing speed, so it breaks easily. I've broken four. One clash and it's KO. Also, conversely, it swings so easily that with your usual timing you may not be able to return shots well.
    Also, I don't think it's suited to singles. For singles it's light, the feel on shots like clears when you're under pressure is poor, and smashes are light. For singles I recommend using it alongside a head-heavy racket.
    Anyway, it's perfect for the rear court in doubles.
