    User Review SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised for exceptional smash speed and smooth swing feel, but serious durability issues overshadow its performance. Multiple reports of frame breaks from light contact or smashes suggest the racket's fragility is a critical flaw that leaves users torn between performance and durability concerns.
    ■ Frequently mentioned points
    • Smash speed increases dramatically with excellent feel
    • Outstanding swing feel with superior maneuverability
    • Head-light design enabling precise control
    • Hard shaft with strong repulsion power
    • Poor durability and prone to breaking
    ■ Representative voices
▲ PositiveAll shot speeds have increased significantly. Swing feel is unmatched with incredible exhilaration, and smash speed improves dramatically. An excellent racket that delivers superior performance.
▽ Critical3 frames broke within one year—one from smashing, two from light contact. One broke after just 3 practice sessions post-purchase. The durability issue is frustrating, making players timid about aggressive contact plays.

      Kinnikuman (Experience:11-20 years) Breaks easily

There are reviews from people saying it broke from light contact, but mine broke while receiving a smash just one week after I bought it.
By the way, it had never had any contact before that.

I thought it was a really easy racket to use, but if this keeps happening I'm going to complain to YONEX.

      Yu (Experience:6-10 years) Stiff

4U, strung with EXBOLT 63 at 25 lbs

      Rackets I usually use
ARCSABER 11 PRO (main), ASTROX 99

My first impression, surprisingly, was how easy it is to handle shots around the body like drives and receives.
Thanks to the stiff shaft + the stable face from the thick frame + the repulsion
the shuttle feels like it keeps carrying, and returns that usually don't go in land cleanly, so I can feel the racket helping me.
The drive feel is very much to my liking. It reminded me of the NANOSPEED 9900, but it has definitely evolved beyond that.

      About smashes.
I'm originally an ARCSABER user and have kept using ARC10 → 11 → 11 PRO,
and unlike that feeling of the frame holding the shuttle while you pick your course, if you catch it on the sweet spot it flies like a laser. Because it's head-light, unlike the ASTROX 99 where the shuttle dips on its own without you thinking about it, you need to adjust with your wrist.
Also, it rebounds so much that you might need to adjust with the string. That's down to preference, so I'm still experimenting.

I think it's easier to handle than the NANORAY Z-SPEED or NANOSPEED Z-SLASH. The small face surprisingly doesn't bother me much.

But the shaft is extremely stiff. Be careful not to hurt your elbow.

badminton geek (Experience:4-5 years) A racket for doubles front court play

The head-light NANOFLARE 1000Z is easy to swing, so it's easier to react to your opponent's fast smashes. Since you don't swing late and can go for counters, I had more time on the receive. Also, thanks to the stiff shaft, it's easy to return fast smashes quickly and hard for the opponent to keep attacking, so I felt it's a racket that easily brings rallies into your favor. I also felt drives really carry well. However, for smashes, you can hit strong, impactful shots, but I felt it's hard to get a steep angle. So I felt this racket isn't suited for singles players or rear court players in doubles. But at the front court the racket is very maneuverable, and I'd recommend it.

Broke (Experience:6-10 years) The swing is on another level

When it comes to swing, the 1000Z is by far the best!
It feels so exhilarating, and with EXBOLT 63 strung at 29 lbs the repulsion is great, so I love it.
However, at first, because it swings so easily, my contact point wasn't consistent and my timing was off at times. But after hitting many times, I got used to it.
In doubles, the good repulsion makes smashes really travel, and if you get your racket up first before hitting, you take the shuttle earlier and can make the most of it. Big swings defeat the purpose.
As expected, the shaft is stiff and the face is small, so you need to be a reasonably skilled player to use it. Without power, it's not going to work. I'm a male university student and fairly powerful.

But the biggest drawback is that the durability is just too poor. I string it at 29, and the other day it cracked. It didn't collide with anything. I hit a shot off the frame just once, and that alone cracked it. Actually, the same thing happened when I tried the NF700, so I think it's due to the extra-thick frame. It breaks quite easily. I bought two, and one is already dead. I really wish they'd do something about the durability, but even taking that into account, the swing and exhilaration are on another level, so I highly recommend it.

      Kaede (Experience:6-10 years)

Having used countless Z series rackets and kept wrecking my body, not buying it was never an option for me.

I'd heard "the repulsion is insane!!", so this time I strung EXBOLT 63 at 24/26, lower than usual, but it's still too springy… so much so that I could probably drop it another 2 lbs…
After using the 4U G5 for just under 2 hours…
First, clears don't go deep. That really surprised me.
And receives keep flying deeper and deeper… they don't go up high…
As for the all-important smash, I could hit sharp smashes like a thin thread. In other words, it doesn't produce cannon-like smashes like the Z-SPEED. But my opinion will probably change going forward.

My impression is that in feel it's closer to the Z-SLASH than the Z-SPEED.
Of course the grommets are new too, so it'll probably only become a good racket once the tension drops a bit.
I also don't get the same sense of an amazing racket as with the 100ZZ.
Still, the repulsion is insane… is this what technology does…, that's my impression.
If my impressions change after hitting with it a few more times, I'll post again.

Also, can connected grommets for other rackets be used on it?

    • Rai

      Rai (Experience:4-5 years)

These are my impressions using the 3U.
True to its concept, it's a racket that makes your smashes really fast.
The shaft is so stiff that rumor has it it's YONEX's stiffest, but even taking that into account, the shuttle flies more than enough.
The reason is that with all sorts of high-modulus technology, materials, a thick-frame shape and so on, it's designed to fly even with light power; plus, the head has sharp edges so it's easy to swing, and being head-light, maneuverability is good too.
Smashes are fast, and for receives too, thanks to the head-light maneuverability and the technology that makes the shuttle fly, it carries even if you're a bit late, and it carries even when you're under pressure.
The biggest point that divides opinion is probably that it flies so much that control takes getting used to
Choosing a string with good bite improves that somewhat, but personally I feel the best way to use this racket is to make its strength, smash speed, even faster.

    • Badoneko

      Badoneko High performance, but…

      I bought the 4U G5.

To get straight to the conclusion, it broke within a few days of first using it. The cause was a light clash. However, my other rackets didn't budge at all from that kind of contact, so the NF1000Z may be on the fragile side.

On the other hand, the performance is excellent.
Even though it's head-light, angled smashes are easy to hit and the feel is good, so smashing feels great. But a receiver told me my shots were easier to return than usual, so compared with the ASTROX series, the shots may be lighter.

As for swing, when you swing lightly it slips through nicely, which is good, but I felt that as swing speed goes up, it actually gets worse. Also, although it's supposed to be head-light, it actually felt like there was a bit of weight in the head. I think both are due to the thick frame.

As for control, my impression is that even though the repulsion is strong, the shuttle tends to go where you aim.

The NF1000Z has high performance and I'd really like to recommend it, but considering durability, I think it's tough for ordinary players. If you buy one, be very careful about contact.
