    User Review SummaryAI Summary
A high-performance racket for advanced players that has improved ease of use compared to its predecessor, though opinions vary on its suitability for beginners due to its hardness and weight.
    ■ Frequently mentioned points
    • Head-heavy design delivers powerful ball compression
    • Longer grip improves court coverage at net
    • Reduced stiffness compared to previous models
    • Smash excels in continuity rather than angle
    • Manageable for intermediate to advanced players
    ■ Representative voices
▲ PositiveSmashes now have better angle, easier to use than the predecessor. The longer grip improves net play responsiveness. Intermediate to advanced players can handle it without difficulty.
▽ CriticalThe hard shaft and head-heavy design are overwhelming even for county-level junior players. Poorly suited to modern fast-paced badminton, with many buyers switching to other rackets within a month.

badminton geek (Experience:4-5 years) A racket for intermediate to advanced players

You admire top-end rackets, but they're overspec and you can't handle them.
If that's you, what I'd really recommend is
      this ASTROX 100 ZX
First, the color is dark navy, the same as the 100ZZ, but the color usage in the design differs in places.
From a distance you can't tell them apart.

First, cuts: I expected it to be the repulsion type, but it has a satisfying feel of holding the shuttle.
For pushes, the racket tip comes through and it feels quite easy to hit, but I found it a bit hard to get a steep angle.
For clears, I felt the ease of hitting that's characteristic of ASTROX.
Smashes are easy to hit, but I felt it's more about "easy to hit repeatedly" than "power hitting."
What I'm personally happy about is that it doesn't feel as demanding as previous Z series rackets.
The Z series gives a really aggressive impression, like "Master this racket if you can!"
but this one has a slightly longer grip, so you can choke up on the racket, which helped me handle receives and maneuvering in the front court.

My personal impression is that it's a racket intermediate to advanced players can handle without problems.

      Oki

Even within the stiff shaft you can feel some flexibility, but it's still stiff.
Even junior high students who can place high at prefectural tournaments find the stiffness too much to handle.
      And it's way too head-heavy.
I don't think it matches modern badminton very well, where rallies move fast even in singles.
It might feel fine at first, but after playing several matches it starts to feel hard to use.
I think it suits adult players, advanced players, and people who like rackets with these characteristics, but some people who buy it just out of admiration will regret it.
Around me, several people bought this racket and switched to a different one without even using it for a month.
I think it's a great racket, but it's not for everyone.

      Suica (Experience:2-3 years) Really good

I usually use the NANOFLARE 800 GAME, but since I started using the ASTROX 100ZX my smashes have gotten a steeper angle, which is really good!
By the way, I use EXBOLT 68 for the string

    • Both my racket and my chair are Duora

Both my racket and my chair are Duora (Experience:4-5 years) Really good once you get used to it

Used with BG65 TITANIUM or ABBT at around 24-25 lbs.
My impression is that it's a doubles-oriented racket.
It's head-heavy so the head really works, but the swing and maneuverability are really good. I don't find it heavy… I think that's thanks to the Rotational… (omitted) and the smallish frame.
Being head-heavy, you can crush the shuttle when you hit, but rather than rebound, my impression is that it has a stronger snappy repulsion. For a high-end model, the feel isn't heavy and solid but rather clean. With BG65 TITANIUM, the clean feel and the bite were just right.
As for smashes, there's a strong sense of it shooting in with a whoosh, which is different from the heavy feel of the ZF2.
If I had to name concerns, they'd be the smallish frame and long grip. I like and often used rackets with shorter grips, so I had trouble getting the timing for shots from below. (That's why I gave control a 9.)

badminton geek (Experience:4-5 years) A racket for intermediate to advanced players

You admire top-of-the-line rackets, but they're over-spec and you can't handle them.
For exactly those people, what I'd like to recommend is
      this ASTROX 100ZX
First, the color is dark navy, the same as the 100ZZ, but the color scheme of the design differs in places.
From a distance you can't tell them apart.

First, cuts: I expected a springy, repulsion-type feel, but it actually has a feel of biting into the shuttle.
For pushes, the racket head comes through quickly so it felt quite easy to hit, though I found it a bit hard to get an angle.
For clears, I felt the ease of hitting that's unique to ASTROX.
Smashes are easy to hit, but my impression was more "easy to hit repeatedly" than "hard hitting."
What I personally like is that it doesn't feel as demanding as the previous Z series.
The Z series gives a bold impression like "Try and master this racket!", but
the grip is a bit longer, so you can hold the racket short, which let me handle receives and maneuvering at the front court.

My personal take is that intermediate to advanced players can handle it without any problem.
