NO.1 Badminton review site

I broke my GUNGNIR 05A, so I bought a new one to replace it~.

Here's my impression of the 07R, the new model corresponding to the old GUNGNIR ALPHA spec.

First, it's easier to swing than the old model, and the feel is soft.
The carbon material is slightly different, so there's no lingering vibration in the hand like the old model, and you can feel the hold, but it has repulsion too.

Since it's a long racket, body shots around the chest and on the dominant-hand side are hard to hit unless you think about your posture a bit, but it seems easier to reach faraway shots.

Because I'd been using the 05A, deep lobs and clears are tough unless I swing consciously, but in return the shaft is on the stiff side and transfers power well, so drives and pushes really carry and seem to slow down deeper than usual.

If you mainly want easy rallies: 05A
If you want to attack while hitting some stronger shots: 07R
If you're like "I seriously know how to swing": 08S

Ideally, if the shaft were designed just a tiny bit softer, around GRAVITAS 0.7, it'd be the best racket for me...

As always, GOSEN's paint is beautiful and tough!
I think it's way ahead even compared to other manufacturers
