A cost-effective racket that delivers high-end performance at a price of just over 10,000 yen. The compact frame offers excellent swing speed, with strong feedback for doubles drives and receives. However, opinions vary as clear shots and smashes require precise sweet spot contact.

kazu (Experience:11-20 years) Quite a light racket!!

It's slightly head-heavy with a somewhat stiff shaft, and partly because the CUSTOM EDGE ver.X, which had the same specs, was easy to use, I bought the GRAVITAS 7.0 this time.

The first thing I noticed when I picked it up was how light it is. It's 4U, but for a head-heavy 4U it's quite light; it felt almost as light as a 5U.

As for how it hits, the shaft is stiff and the head isn't that heavy, so it's hard to get clears deep..
I was looking forward to seeing how well I could hit the sweet spot on smashes, but honestly it's just average.
Compared with other rackets, something like the ZF2 feels like it catches the sweet spot better.

What it did well was shots that are delicate and need good maneuverability, like pushes, drives and receives!

It's marketed as an all-round racket for both singles and doubles, but my feeling is that it's a racket specialized for the front court in doubles.

Performance-wise it wasn't as good as I expected, but it's an 18,000-yen racket even at list price, so its low price may be its biggest selling point.

If I get the chance to use the 8.0 released at the same time, it's more head-heavy with a thicker frame, so I'm looking forward to it.

Itsutsu (Experience:2-3 years) Perfect for intermediate players!

With its light frame, moderate stiffness and head-heavy balance, you can easily hit strong smashes and clears. Not only in singles but in doubles too, the maneuverability is good, so front-court play is easy, and from the rear court you can hit sharp drops and smashes. It's a racket I have no complaints about. It's cheap, so it's easy to own several.
